If we have loaded the latest version of the IMPULSE Wireless PTT app onto your device, but the device is not updating silently, follow these instructions if we ask you to do a manual update.


1. Navigate to the file manager. On many Android devices, this may simply be called "Files" as in the screenshot below. On a Samsung device, it is usually called My Files.



2. Navigate to the location of the IW_PTT_xxx.APK file. If we have loaded it for you already or remotely, it will be in the Download folder in the phone's external storage. Usually you can simply click on the Downloads shortcut. Otherwise, you may need to tap on the three-bar "Hamburger" menu at the top left of the screen and/or select "External Storage", then the folder called "Download".



3. Tap on the IW_PTT_xxx.APPK file. The latest version (as of April 2023) is shown below. When asked to update or install, say YES. When the installation is complete, say OPEN.




If the app signs in and you are up and running, you're good to go. Check your default callee and other basics here:
