Oi Dispatch is a PC-based radio and communications dispatch solution. It is developed by Australian company Cistech Solutions, and is fully supported by IMPULSE Wireless. Bus operators may also use the IMPULSE Wireless CallBank system within the Oi Dispatch console for a unified communications solution which is flexible, powerful, provides enhanced emergency management, and also puts live GPS information at your fingertips.

It is important that the microphone gain settings are correct so you get good quality audio. If these are set incorrectly, you may not get voice through the PTT system or you may get an overload and distotion. As the old saying goes: "you get out what you put in," so make sure the input is right.

To set your mic gain in Oi dispatch:

1. Go to the settings menu at the top left of the screen ("hamburger" menu with three lines)

2. Select "Settings", "General", then under "Audio Devices", ensure the correct microphone source is selected then use the slider to set the mic gain so the transmitted voice quality is clear. Keep reading for how to monitor your transmitted audio quality.

To monitor your transmitted audio quality:

You can access "rapid replay" and playback incoming and outgoing audio from the last five minutes via the "Call History" window. In this way you can listen to yourself, as well as other radio, PTT or console users.

1. Select "Voice" from the menu bar at the top of the screen, and click "Call History"

2. This will open the Call History window, which will fill up as activity occurs. By clicking and dragging, you can snap the window to one of multiple positions.

3. Click on the play triangle button next to a call record to play the audio. If the history record is more than five minutes old, you will see an (i) icon as the rapid replay audio is only available for the last five minutes. If you have voice recording on your system, the recordings may be accessed through the web portal for the PTT and Oi system voice recorder.
